(Reno, NV) – Today, conservative Republican candidate for Nevada State Assembly, District 25, Sam Kumar officially filed for office, entering the race in this critical swing district with the backing of many Nevada conservative leaders, such as former Nevada Attorney General, Adam Laxalt, former Nevada State Controller, Ron Knecht, Nevada State Assemblywoman Jill Dickman, Nevada State Assemblyman P.K. O’Neill, former Washoe County Sheriff Chuck Allen, former State Senator Maurice Washington and many other movement conservatives.

“I am honored to officially place my name on the ballot and stand before the voters of District 25 to seek their support,” Sam Kumar stated.  “We clearly are headed in the wrong direction in this state.  People from all political backgrounds know this, and I hope to restore common sense and balance to the very one-sided, partisan state government in Carson City.”

Helping lead Kumar’s campaign are his campaign co-chairs, former Washoe County Republican Party Chairman, David Buell, and conservative advocate and public policy expert, Randi Thompson.  The Kumar campaign will focus on the key issues affecting Nevada: our high unemployment rate – which ranks as one of the highest in the nation, our record inflation, poor performance and lack of accountability in our public schools, unaffordable housing, the lack of respect of basic constitutional rights, and the rapid rise in crime in our communities.
